Type of Braces
Metal BracesOrthodontic treatments have traditionally relied on metal brackets. Today’s brackets are much different than the ones parents may remember from their own treatments. Using smaller brackets with improved wires, orthodontists can get better results in a shorter amount of time.
Clear BracesCeramic “clear brackets” eliminate the metal in orthodontic treatments. Tooth-colored clear brackets are applied to the teeth in the same way that metal brackets are, but they blend into the tooth for a more natural-looking appearance. Colored wire options can also help!
Invisible BracesClear aligner therapy eliminates the need for brackets altogether. Aligner treatment involves using a series of plastic aligners that are changed approximately every two to six weeks. By making small changes in each aligner, orthodontists can correct alignment issues discreetly.
Treatment for All Ages
Child OrthodonticsOrthodontic treatment isn’t reserved for teens! Early treatment plans for children in elementary grades can actually help eliminate the need for more intensive orthodontic treatments later in adolescence. Early treatment doesn’t always involve braces, either. Early interventions can expand the upper and lower jaws, making enough room for crowded teeth to erupt. By preventing impacted teeth and guiding skeletal development through early orthodontic intervention, we can reduce the need for kids braces and achieve more natural results.
Teen OrthodonticsSome people assume teen orthodontics are a rite of passage. In fact, most orthodontic patients are teenagers. We have a variety of treatment options and technologies that have reduced the time to achieve an excellent treatment result. Today’s braces are lightweight, easier to care for and customized to suit the preferences of each patient.
Adult OrthodonticsAlong with creating a long hoped-for smile, orthodontic treatments for adults can help relieve the pain and discomfort associated with temporomandibular joint disorders, malformations and injuries. Addressing these problems in adulthood can eliminate pain and abnormal wear on the teeth. Adult orthodontics can also slow or eliminate bone loss, tooth decay, and damage to the tooth enamel, all of which can degrade health significantly later in life.
Other Orthodontics Services:Although most people associate braces with orthodontics, we provide other services related to the temporary and permanent treatment of teeth.
